Jack Daniel’s and Art Beats and Lyrics teamed up this year to create a virtual event filled with fresh artwork. It was cool to have three of my pieces featured in this exhibit. Like I was in a video game, I traveled around the building looking at art. It was cool and I can see how this could expand 1000 fold.

Mural created by artist John Tindel for the Google Fiber offices in Atlanta, Ga. Original typography and explosive design were combined with paint and silver leaf to complete this space.

The two artists were brought together by Amy Parry Projects to create two murals inside the Philips Arena/Hawks stadium. Both John and Stacie were familiar with each other’s work but had never actually met until the first walk-through at the arena.

Inspiration is a tough thing to isolate for me. I draw my inspiration from the heritage where I live, from my children and from the lines and colors that are put down on the canvas. They all seem to merge when I paint. I really just clear my head and then wait for the signals. Playing off each move I make in a painting, playing off mistakes I make in the painting and layering all that visual dialog into a full creation.
